Those Are Spicy Collard Greens!

Here’s what you’ll need!

Ingredients:

  • 1 Fresh bunch of collard greens
  • 1 Fresh lemon
  • 1 Jalapeno (fresh or in a jar will work)
  • 1/2 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp Bragg’s Liquid Amino Acids (this is to replace salt and can be found on Amazon if your local grocery store doesn’t have it)
  • 2 32 oz Low sodium vegetable broth
  • I used a local (Already Dunn) spicy flavor enhancing sauce (you can use hot sauce if you don’t have this)
  • 1 Tbsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Sesame Seeds
  • Stock Pot
Add Vegetable broth to the stock pot
Add jalapenos and spices and turn stock pot on medium heat and bring to a boil
While the stock pot heats up chop up the collard greens or you can just rip them up and rinse them off
Once the stock pot comes to a boil turn the temperature to medium low and add the collard greens, spicy sauce (to your liking), lemon juice, amino acids, and garlic.
Stir often and let cook on low medium heat (simmer) until your collard greens are tender. They will get darker as they cook. When they are done they should look like…
THIS! When they do, put them in a pretty bowl and serve them up! I do like things spicy so if you don’t I would recommend adding very little hot sauce. YAY! You’re done!
